Picking is expected to begin this month on the central coast for this years wine crop, while the harvest for sparkling wine has already begun. With a climate that is so conducive to growing, it's no wonder that Monterey County is a fast growing wine region in California.

Beginning July 15, 2015 registration drawings for the April 30, 2017 Big Sur International Marathon opens. Registration for other non-marathon events begin September 1, 2016. Benefiting local charities the Big Sur International Marathon has gifted local charities with nearly $4 million dollars since its inception.
