Located in the historic Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa, Esteban Restaurant is the heart of authentic Monterey dining, offering a unique culinary experience. Serving traditional Spanish-inspired cuisine with a pinch of adventure, Esteban features Mediterranean tapas and classic selections to savor and share by the warmth of the fireplace or in the relaxing outdoor patio setting.
The Valentine pre-fixe menu features two tapas, a choice of Chef Tom Snyder’s three Paella dishes, two champagne  glasses, and a selection of house made desserts. Like the tapas plates, the Paella main course is meant for couples to share.
Esteban is the ideal place to share a romantic meal with someone you love. Our special Spanish Paella offerings include Paella Del Mar, De Tierra, and Paella Negra. Paella Del Mar (from the ocean) features a rich assortment of chorizo, prawns, mussels, and clams, while De Tierra (from the land) offers savory sausage, lamb and chicken. In Paella Negra, you’ll find local Monterey Bay Calamari and Serrano ham with squid ink. “Squid ink gives the Paella a gorgeous black color and adds a subtle earthiness to the flavor of the dish.”
