Whether you want to see open wheel racing at Laguna Seca or sample Italian food and fashion beside your favorite sports cars, Monterey will be everything auto August 15-21, 2011.
Approximately 550 of the finest examples of automotive history, style, design and technology will fill the race paddock for the 17 race groups at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion August 19-21. Now in its 37th year at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the historic racing event is a cornerstone of the Monterey Classic Car Week. Watch these amazing vehicles take on the world famous corkscrew.
The 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, slated for Sunday, August 21, will feature Mercedes-Benz and 125 years of the automobile, Stutz Centennial, Rolls-Royce Silver Ghosts through 1919, the development of the Ferrari 250 GTO, and Italian motorcycles. Additional features and special classes are also planned.
The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering combines a lush Carmel Valley golf course nestled against the Santa Lucia mountain range with exceptional cuisine and the finest examples of vintage sporting automobiles seen during the week. The featured theme of this year’s Friday, August 19, 2011 gathering include the 50th Anniversary of Phil Hill's Formula One World Drivers' Championship, the 50th Anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type, the tradition of The Great Ferraris and other surprises.
The legendary Concorso Italiano, makes its home at the Laguna Seca Golf Ranch. Celebrate all things Italian with displays of Italian fashion and art and great Italian food and music, as well as over 800 Italian cars. This year's event will be held Friday, August 19th, 9am-5pm.
Friday and Saturday, August 19 and 20, 2011 RM Auctions will continue the tradition of attracting discerning collectors and enthusiasts from around the world. With a 95% sell-through rate and record results at last year's event, auction held at the Monterey Conference Center provides an ideal venue to buy and sell a quality collector car.
The Pebble Beach Auction presented by Gooding & Company is one of the premier automotive auctions in the world and has set many world records. The auction itself takes place on August 20th and 21st, but window-shoppers can admire the breathtaking displays of automotive magic beginning on August 17th.
