Golfer Alert – It’s Clambake Time to Tee-Up

Today, the top tour professionals including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Mark O’Meara and last year’s champ Steve Lowery team up with celebrities and athletes to compete for a $6 million purse with proceeds going to hundreds of non-profit organizations. Past celebs include Kevin Costner, Bill Murray, Don Cheadle, Dan Marino, George Lopez, Carson Daly and Huey Lewis. The tournament three different courses, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Poppy Hills Golf Course and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.

Accessible by the spectacular 17-Mile Drive, Pebble Beach provides the world’s most scenic setting for golf and recreation in the world. With its famous championship golf courses, it is hailed as a Mecca for golfers. Pebble Beach also hosts the U.S. Open and the annual Concours d’Elegance, considered to be one of the most prestigious showcases of the world’s finest classic automobiles. Its stunning coastline includes Cypress Rock, Bird Rock and the Lone Cypress, one of the most photographed landmarks on the California coast.

Pebble Beach is located on the tip of the Monterey peninsula between Pacific Grove and Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Oh! Parking can be hectic for these events. I tracked down the tournament’s shuttle information…

Cannery Row Company is sponsoring an Express Shuttle from Cannery Row to the AT&T National Pro-Am Tournament at Pebble Beach. The shuttle program provides visitors with reduced fee parking in the Cannery Row Garage ($7.00 per day) courtesy of the City of Monterey, and roundtrip transportation to the tournament for $10 per day.
The AT&T Express Shuttle allows visitors to avoid parking at CSUMB, and to truly experience Cannery Row as part of their visit. Every Shuttle rider will also receive the new Cannery Row Coupon Book and Cannery Row Visitors Guide.

Shuttle Stop Location: Wave Street between Prescott and Irving, at the Cannery Row Garage pedestrian exit.

Wednesday, Feb. 11 10am-4pm
Thursday, Feb. 12 6am-6pm
Friday, Feb. 13 6am-6pm
Saturday, Feb. 14 6am-6pm
Sunday, Feb. 15 6am-5pm

Shuttle Ticket Cost: $10 per person, per day
Garage Parking Cost: $7 per car, per day with shuttle ticket
