Mini-Me

Miniatures has returned to the Monterey Museum of Art!  This much anticipated Holiday tradition showcases a diverse collection of small paintings, photography, prints, drawings and sculpture – all  7” x 9” or smaller!  The Monterey Museum of Art has teamed up with the Hotel Pacific to create ‘Mini-Me,’ a package that includes a deluxe suite with fireplace, two admissions to the Museum, two raffle tickets for the auction, continental breakfast buffet, and hardcover catalogue, The Graphic Art of Armin C. Hansen. This package is available November 19, 2009 to January 3, 2010 (the run of the exhibit) at $119 per night Sunday–Friday and $149 per night on Saturdays.
Additionally, the hotel will exhibit and host a silent auction of ‘Second Chance Minis’ – four unclaimed tiny works of art from the 2009 auction.

Originally developed in 1969, featuring Christmas trees decorated with hand-made ornaments, the Miniatures exhibit and auction has evolved into a full exhibition featuring more than 300 works of art by California artists. Works are generously donated by the artists, and visitors can purchase raffle tickets to win one of these miniature masterpieces to take home with them. Raffle tickets are $5 each, or $30 for a book of seven. All proceeds from the raffle benefit Monterey Museum of Art programs.
