54th Annual Jazz Festival Wrap Up
The 54th Monterey Jazz Festival wrapped up Sunday, September 18th after a weekend of stunning weather and incredible performances by debut artists and old favorites alike.
38,000 fans came through the gates of the Monterey County Fairgrounds during the weekend of September 16-18, which featured music from around the globe and from all styles of classic jazz, compelling conversations and films, and engaging exhibits.

View Hidden Treasures During Art in the Adobes
Fall 2011 will bring the debut of Art in the Adobes, an important new cultural festival that will bring Monterey’s hidden artistic heritage back into the light. September 30 – October 2, 2011 many of the venues will be historic adobes, including the former home of Robert Louis Stevenson. The theme for the inaugural event is “Hidden Treasures from Old Monterey.”

Jazz at the Monterey Bay Aquarium
There is still time to enjoy Evenings by the Bay Summer concert series at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Aquarium’s Marine Mammal Gallery through September 4, 2011, the concert series features some of the Monterey Peninsula’s most talented professional musicians, as well as student musicians in the Monterey Jazz Festival’s Education Programs.

Kelp Crawling in the Montrey Bay
The City of Pacific Grove and Tri-California Events host he Triathlon at Pacific Grove, September 9 – 11, 2011. Start with the unique “Kelp Crawl” swim and then enjoy the looped bike and run courses surrounding Lovers Point. The 2011 event will again feature two days of racing along the picturesque California coast.
Featured events include and olympic distance triathlon and 10k run along with a sprint distance triathlon and 5 k run.
