The 30th annual Big Sur International Marathon, scheduled for April 26, 2015, has changed registration procedures in an attempt to be more fair and inclusive for everyone who wants to participate. The initial race registration period opens, Tuesday, July 15, 2014 with three additional first-come, first-served entry periods opening on various dates in July.
Just 652 entries will be available during each registration period for a total of 4,500 marathon entrants as in previous years. Following the four first-come, first-served registration periods, there will be a lottery for 500 entries. A complete account of the new registration procedures can be found here.
