Visit the Henry Miller Memorial Library
The Henry Miller Memorial Library was founded in 1981 by Miller’s close friend, Emil White. White founded the library in order to celebrate Henry Miller as a person and as an artist, and to promote the literary and artistic works of the writer, making them more accessible. Nestled within a grove of magnificent redwood trees, the library offers an intimate setting where fans and scholars converge to learn more about Miller’s life, his motivations and artistic accomplishments. The library also serves as a cultural resource center, which celebrates the continuation of the arts through live concerts, gallery showings and workshops.
